  18. Here's MY tips to getting a job as a Game Tester: Make sure you know how to spell. Make sure you know the difference between they're (they are), their/theirs (possession), and there (location). Can you write a paragraph that is concise AND makes sense?! Can you write a paragraph that includes proper punctuation? Yes, folks, you really do have to know how to write and spell to work as a Game Tester. You will be required to write "bug" reports and the team leads have to be able to understand what you're saying. Another tip: Can you play the same video game over and over and over? Every single day that you're at work you might have to play a video game you have zero interest in and think is pointless and dull. You don't get to choose the games you test unless you're applying for a test position in a specific division such as Sports for Electronic Arts. I worked at Nintendo in the 90's and I had to play some absolutely awful games for the N64 and Gameboy. I got to test some great games, too, but for three months I had to test a game that was so stupid and mindless…I wanted to poke my eyes out. LOL.

  19. Fuck this Todd Harris asswipe, just make your own games and your own mo cap set up then shove it in their face when you've surpassed God mode game developer rank muahaha 😈

  20. indie games basically have passion and love in them
companies instead steel the same idea and repeat it as many times as possible (as its the safest way of making money)
you will never see a gaming company like Rockstar/Ubisoft ECC make games like celeste or undertale
    to many risks
but indie game programmers have too
because making fps games against AAA company is basically suicide
    so you go for platformers
and now you have to fight Nintendo and VIRTUALLY AL INDIE GAME DEVELOPERS
going indie is hard mostly because you need to be every single person in a company
(level designer, audio, music, programmer, 3d models/pixel art/drawing, story)
so you are either a 1 man army or have good friends that can back you up
or fucked that's an option too but in the and
no one becomes famous and rich by being average, as the world has many shining diamonds
and all of them have a skill you don't, but at one point, you'll find the skills you have that all the others don't
and you will finally become the person others wish too.

  21. The industry that burns people in 2 years, treats them badly, and fires them if revenue isn't what they forecasted. If you love do this, you'll do well, and have talent. Just don't go too fast, for too long.

Lmao NOT ONE studio asked about my GPA. This is bullshit advice.
Just focus on getting good at your craft, blowing money at an art school and "gEtTiNg GhuD gRaDes" is a massive waste of energy and money. I know several straight A students from my art school who are serving coffee and going in to the military.
